Our work depends on a Senior Data Analyst joining our team to support the CMS Chronic Conditions Data Warehouse (CCW).
The CCW provides researchers with Medicare and Medicaid beneficiary, claims, and assessment data linked by beneficiary across the continuum of care.
This is remote based role; candidates must live in the US
A typical day will include:
Performs data collection, analysis, and interpretation duties.
Develops rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis.
Ensures the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis.
Conducts data quality and detailed validation of data sets.
Consults with the external clients and internal staff to determine data management needs and objectives.
May be responsible for database design, administration, security, and maintenance.
Prepares presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis.
Coordinates with scientists and other technical experts to design and develop statistical analyses methodologies.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
Experience with large data file analysis, management and delivery.
Experience in code development and analysis using SAS and SQL (Oracle, Teradata, Snowflake, etc...), as well as data profiling and integrity.
Experience with Databricks.
Experience using UNIX applications preferred, including UNIX shell scripting - ksh and Perl.
Experience with Medicare and Medicaid administrative data STRONGLY preferred

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
