GDIT has an opportunity for a Senior Systems Administrator working with a large line of business within GDIT that is currently supporting multiple contracts for the Defense Information Service Agency in the DC Metro area. We are seeking energetic talented individuals that have a desire to help transform customer requirements supporting the our customer in a Software Production contract.
The Senior Systems Administrator organizes and directs the configuration and operation of information management systems. Responsible for directing the work of other system administrators to provide the day-to-day system administration to include system and resource optimization, and user assistance. Conducts capacity and performance analysis, and provides system configuration change and upgrade recommendations. Increases system administrator efficiency and accuracy via the use of automated tools and scripts, develops system administrator procedures, and conducts system administrator training and skills assessments. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
System administration experience with Microsoft Windows servers, Red Hat Linux servers, Oracle databases and NoSQL databases.
Experience with tools such as Puppet, Ansible, and command line scripting for automation of administrative tasks.
5+ Professional Work Experience
Education: BS/BA (Technical Discipline)
Cert Requirement: Security+ CE
Clearance Required: Secret with SSBI or Top Secret
