This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and supervised decision-making authority.  Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.  Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational standards.

As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, policy changes, etc.  Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.   Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Minimum Education: High School Graduate

6 years of experience minimum

Minimum Qualifications (required skills, experience with technology, etc. needed)

  • Experience and working knowledge of GPOs and Microsoft Windows OS Patch Management
  • Experience and working knowledge in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Win10 or higher)
  • Experience and working knowledge of Security Configuration Compliance (Information Assurance Vulnerability Manager (IAVM/IAV Alert (*AVA)/IAV bulletins, STIG/SCAP)

Minimum Certifications

CSWF IAT Level II : (Any of these apply: CCNA-Security or GICSP or GSEC or Security + ce or SSCP)

Minimum Security Clearance: Secret

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
  • Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Operating System types, such as Windows Server (2012, 2016, and Windows Desktop 10 and accompanying Microsoft Windows technologies such as IE, IIS, .NET, RHEL, and more.
  • Knowledge and experience working with PowerShell to automate common functions
  • Experience with using VMware to perform troubleshooting on Servers
  • Knowledge and experience working with Cloud based technologies
  • Three Years of General Experience in any combination of the following: Electronic Documentation, System Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration
