General Dynamics seeks an individual that can help create and maintain applications that are used by our long time customer, USSOUTHCOM. Person we seek should be well versed in software development to include coding, designing and maintaining software applications.

You’ll be part of the team 'Enterprise Applications'. You’ll be developing applications using Microsoft Power Platform components, such as Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents and integrate them into Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.  Successful candidate will work as member of team to create new line of business applications and to migrate legacy applications from .Net to Power Platform.  Conducts technical and analytical work in developing, designing, and/or analyzing technical solutions for clients. Assesses new software products and solutions. Duties include participation in client needs assessments, evaluating hardware and platform availability, and software requirements.Chosen individual will perform all phases of the software development lifecycle.What we are looking for:
  • Experienced, Senior developer with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, …) or .NET platform (C#) and relational databases
  • Knowledge of software development principles and lifecycle
  • Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
What you will be doing:
  • Perform all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze user/business needs and functionality to plan and design software systems to meet those needs of business/user.
  • Create a variety of models and diagrams that show programmers the software code needed for an application.
  • Perform software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging to meet business needs.
  • Provide analysis for reports on software project specifications, activities, or status.
  • Thoroughly documents the software or system for future maintenance and updates.
  • May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals.
  • May serve as a team or task lead.
Qualifications we seek:
  • BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related area and 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Microsoft certifications from related areas – PL-900, PL-600, PL-400, AZ-900.
  • Programming background or Low/No-code development platform experience.
  • A feel for UX design and app UI creation.
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 development / customizations.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud (knowledge of cloud resource deployment principles or usage of specific cloud technologies).
  • Experience in ONE or more of the following languages/platforms; C#, Classic ASP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Microsoft SSIS/SSAS/SSRS, SQL, SQL Server Database, and VB.NET.
  • Experience developing applications with Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology, specifically SCRUM and KANBAN frameworks.
  • Security Clearance – Secret to Start. TS Preferred. Must be able/willing to attain TS/SCI.
