Install, license, maintain, and upgrade all Enterprise GIS software, to include Portal, ArcGIS Server, Insights, Operations Dashboard, Experience Builder, and Excalibur, working to schedule upgrades at times of least impact to users.
Maintain server certificates, and troubleshoot firewall and access issues.
Monitor server logs, troubleshooting and fixing errors.
Monitor performance of services and applications, troubleshooting and reducing bottlenecks.
Ensure the Enterprise GIS system meets all relevant network and system security requirements, and Recommend changes, upgrades, and software acquisition as would improve the Enterprise GIS solutions at the NIFC.
Install, maintain, and upgrade the necessary software to create and use Enterprise Geodatabases in SQL Server.
Create, delete, upgrade, and modify databases as needed.
Manage user and system access appropriately to ensure data integrity and availability, creating users and roles when needed,
Perform regular backups and have a recovery plan in place and tested.
Monitor the performance of both direct connections and service-based connections, taking steps to optimize access speed.
Create and maintain database views based on data team and branch requirements.
Advise the data team on improvements to processes and structures which can be achieved by improved database design, and setup and maintain database replication with other locations as needed.
