This position supports a Government Continuity of Operations (COOP) support office. This position will be required to coordinate travel requirements in support assessment visits, mission partner meetings, exercises and mission support activities. Travel arrangements are coordinated independently from the Defense Travel System (DTS) but still must conform to establish travel procedures in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). This position is responsible for coordinating travel for both internal personnel and various supported and supporting elements, requiring close coordination. The successful candidate will be required to promulgate travel plans and maintain administrative records. Additional administrative support functions will be performed during periods of reduced travel activities.
Coordinate travel and lodging reservations ensuring compliance with JTR. Routinely travel groups of 5-15 personnel with periodic travel events of 60-80.
Prepare detailed travel plans and itineraries.
Assess travel procedures and make process improvement recommendations.
Oversee the administration of office files and documents, including the storage of documents physically and/or electronically.
Create, update and maintain spread sheets.
Promulgate reports as required.
Ability to travel periodically up to 2 weeks within the continental U.S. to support COOP exercise or operations if required.
Combined 5 years of experience coordinating travel and providing administrative support.
Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally.
Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Customer service and problem-solving skill are essential.
Possess and maintain TS-SCI clearance
