At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a SCRUM Master coordinates and monitors the scrum process from initiation through delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Scrum Master role for at least 2+ years for a software development team that applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Experience with ITSM principles and ITIL best practices.
  • Guides the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Supports and educates the Product Owner, working to keep the key stakeholders engaged in the development process.
  • Uses the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA and Confluence specifically).
  • Leadership skills and knowledge of facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Software development and release management experience.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
  • Working and applicable knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Crystal, FDD, etc.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, etc.
  • Experience in applying a wide variety of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • BA/BS or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience with 2+ years of related experience. 
  • ​Scrum Master Certification
  • Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
