In this role, personnel will establish Threshold and Objective requirements through consistent engagement with client stakeholders and working closely with the Chief SoS Engineer and Project Manager to ensure overall design, engineering, integration and testing activities are consistently executed to ensure JETS performance and benefit outcomes are realized. The individual will manage requirements to establish traceable release and backlog in the iterative release of services and features to meet IOC and FOC outcomes.
Typical duties include:
Manage all requirements for the JETS Program and establishing RTM for all JETS services and products
Responsible for working closely with peers to interface with customer project personnel and key stakeholders on a continuous basis to maintain positive control of requirements and that iterative development and release cycles have detailed traceability to said requirements and that decisions regarding acceptance, risk and change impacts analysis activities are properly documented, socialized and approved
Decomposing requirements to ensure all essential elements are known, identified, socialized, traceable and resident in features and benefits of solutions being developed and delivered.
Working closely to ensure Project Management to maintain Risk Registers
Assures quality of products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and milestone events.
May assist in QA activities regarding the reviews of plans, schedules, architectures, designs and other technical artifacts.
Prepares and provides various briefings, reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested and milestone events related to project execution
Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards.
Translates conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to development and integration teams
Performs business development activities at all stages, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals. Identifies and captures opportunities for organic growth within assigned areas and supports enterprise growth activities.
Assume the initiative and provide support to Corporate management in identifying future requirements; Develop, maintain, and implement supporting processes that enhance alignment and transparency to ensure solution meets client requirements
Analysts to work in a requirements formulation group for JETS systems and services as well as sub-services, application and components.
Work closely with team and client leads on the review and assessment of top-level requirements that will inform and impact policy, functions, features, and resource decisions. The successful applicant will also have an opportunity to influence requirements policy, practice, and directives currently undergoing transformation to more effectively deliver training and manage mission readiness.
15+ years of STEM-based work experience
The successful candidate will have experience or familiarity with the following disciplines:
DoDAF System and architecture-level system engineering;
Requirements formulation, prioritization, flow-down, traceability, change control, and documentation;
USAF and/or DOD policy, practice, requirements forums and authorities; and DOD cost, budget and acquisition models
Experience with formalization of organizational policy and practice is desirable. Competence with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
Strong leadership skills
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
Active International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB) Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) certification or other industry equivalent certification.
Certified Systems Engineering Professional highly desired
ITSM or PMP desired
