At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Business Analyst supporting CMS, a typical day will include:

  • Participating as a member of a Scrum Team to interview and interface with stakeholders and value streams to obtain needed functional, nonfunctional, and operational requirements specifications
  • Writing user stories, including validation criteria, and providing technical review and validation of requirements to create, prioritize, and maintain a comprehensive backlog of user stories
  • Listing out risks and constraints in relation to identified requirements
  • Developing and documenting requirements documents and other project related artifacts, such as workflows and processes, associated with the program
  • May fulfill the role of Product Manager, representing the voice of the customer, or Product Owner, prioritizing the product backlog items


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Business, or other related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience. 
  • Active SAFe certification(s), such as SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Scrum Master
  • Experience capturing requirements and writing user stories
  • Experience working with business processes, business process re-engineering, and business analysis in a system engineering or software application environment
  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience working in a Scrum or SAFe Agile environment
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years


  • US citizen or a Green Card holder
  • Health Care Industry or CMS experience
  • Excellent knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and difficulties
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment

The likely salary range for this position is $75,599 - $126,250, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
