GDIT is seeking an experienced Quality Analysis Director to join its Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Group. You will use your in-depth knowledge of business applications, applications development methodologies, database principles and techniques, and hardware/software operating systems to collaborate across the client enterprise at all levels to align the long-term technology and applications strategy with our government client's long-term business strategies. You will bring your demonstrated ability to understand government expectations and partner it with technology for desired business results.

The qualified candidate will perform the following tasks:

  • Responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements 

  • Provides independent assessment of how the project's software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize processes 

  • Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation 

  • Develops and implements procedures and plans for assuring quality in a system development environment which supports large databases and applications

  • Establishes and defines quality control and test plans for all development efforts.

  • Directs all quality control and testing activities 

  • Develop and maintain quality control and test plan documentation  

  • Interfaces with DHS engineers/architects regarding architecture standards/guidelines/policies based on needs and anticipated technology advances

  • Acts as an advisor to executive management to set direction, collaborates with senior and line management to enact strategic plans, and provides leadership to tactical business and technology teams

  • Uses exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact regularly with high-level customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and business owners to provide guidance and recommendations on improving IT infrastructure  

  • A proactive approach to identifying issues and problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks along with an ability to offer and implement solutions to address these

  • Experience working within the federal government or serving federal government clients on Agile-based development contracts

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 20+ years IT experience

IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 certification 

Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field

Completion of one or more of the following certifications is a +:

  • SAFe/Agile 5.0 or 5.1
  • Comptia Security+

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile Software Development Methodology, specifically SCRUM and KANBAN frameworks.
  • Experience with SAFe/Agile Framework 5.0 or 5.1
