GDIT is seeking an experienced Quality Analysis Director to join its Intelligence and Homeland Security (IHS) Group. You will use your in-depth knowledge of business applications, applications development methodologies, database principles and techniques, and hardware/software operating systems to collaborate across the client enterprise at all levels to align the long-term technology and applications strategy with our government client's long-term business strategies. You will bring your demonstrated ability to understand government expectations and partner it with technology for desired business results.
The qualified candidate will perform the following tasks:
Responsible for activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable contract and regulatory requirements
Provides independent assessment of how the project's software development process is being implemented relative to the defined process and recommends methods to optimize processes
Conducts audits and reviews/analyzes data and documentation
Develops and implements procedures and plans for assuring quality in a system development environment which supports large databases and applications
Establishes and defines quality control and test plans for all development efforts.
Directs all quality control and testing activities
Develop and maintain quality control and test plan documentation
Interfaces with DHS engineers/architects regarding architecture standards/guidelines/policies based on needs and anticipated technology advances
Acts as an advisor to executive management to set direction, collaborates with senior and line management to enact strategic plans, and provides leadership to tactical business and technology teams
Uses exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact regularly with high-level customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders and business owners to provide guidance and recommendations on improving IT infrastructure
A proactive approach to identifying issues and problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks along with an ability to offer and implement solutions to address these
Experience working within the federal government or serving federal government clients on Agile-based development contracts
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 20+ years IT experience
IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 certification
Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or a related field
