By owning your opportunity at GDIT, you’ll play an essential Technical Lead role supporting application development and systems administration for the State of Maryland Department of Information Technology (DoIT) in the Annapolis, Maryland area.
As a Technical Lead supporting DoIT, you will be trusted for managing and coordinating teams of developers and administrators of several application development platforms, including at a minimum, SharePoint, WordPress, Salesforce and ServiceNow.
In this role, a typical day you will:
In a managerial and hands-on capacity, respond to, troubleshoot and estimate effort for service tickets requesting assistance from Agency users for technical support, training, or assistance designing and developing applications and data in these platforms
Balance workloads across multiple development and systems administration teams in a way that meets defined service level response times
Advise and assist technical resources in the completion of their assigned tasks
Make use of various project management and coordination tools to track the status, completion and quality of requests for assistance
Report out on risk mitigations, status of tasks and projects, and resolution of issues
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
8 years of experience in a computer-related field
5 years of experience leading technical teams supporting at least two application platforms, such as SharePoint, WordPress, Salesforce and/or ServiceNow
CompTIA A+ Certification
Developer, Engineer or Administrator Certification in at least one of the platforms listed above
