Primarily supports software family of systems - Tactical Internet (TI): Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P) and Blue Force Tracker - Aviation (BFT-A). Specializes in supporting Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P).
Initialize and place into operation and the troubleshooting software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication system being supported.
Assist new users with managing system requirements to include data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records.
Provide over the shoulder tech assist or training, troubleshoot, software installation, software updates, and software fixes and capable of being able to provide other required support. Provide technical installation, configuration, and maintenance assistance to end users of JBC-P.
Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations.
Perform software updates, replication, and maintains backups.
Perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting, and problem identification and resolution. Participates in special projects as needed.
Perform systems’ software installation, configuration, and maintenance of CECOM C5ISR Families of Systems, such as the Tactical Intelligence Family of Systems.
Education & Experience:
AA/AS (or equivalent experience), 3+ years of experience
Must have Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintenance experience.
Able to perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting and problem identification and resolution.
Possess a basic knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration.
Basic understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations.
Military experience is desirable.
Current US Passport req'd
Must be able to pass CRC requirements.
Clearance: Secret clearance required.
