  • Review emerging technology in the realm security information and event management (SIEM) systems, end point detection and response solutions, intrusion detection\prevention systems, vulnerability management solutions, and reporting tools. 

  • Review and evaluate both hybrid and cloud technology platforms from a security perspective and provide analysis on cloud security controls. 

  • Coordinate and cooperate with other teams to achieve shared goals, specifically around implementing new cyber security technologies and fielding them for production use.  

  • Work with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and the DoD Risk Management Framework to provide cyber security analysis of existing systems and recommendations for improving cyber security posture. 

  • Write cohesive and comprehensive information summaries and briefs describing new and emerging technologies in the cyber security field, for dissemination and consumption by both peers and leaders.  

  • Attend technology and cyber security conferences and interface with vendors and peers to identify new cyber security solutions, hardware, and technology. Gather and consolidate information on these new solutions and products, and author well-written documentation to disseminate the information to peers and leaders.


  • BS in Computer Science, or a related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education. 

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, based on a T5 or T5R investigation. 

  • 5 years of experience in cyber security and computer technology fields. 

  • Excellent written communication skills primarily centered around creating information summaries and white papers. 

  • Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment
