At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Logistics Analyst Senior, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Core hours are between 9am-3pm and the Customer is open to flex schedule
  • The Logistics Analyst works/sits with a team but is the only person functioning as the fleet manager
  • The Fleet Manager will report to the Sponsor’s Logistics Vehicle Manager
  • The Logistics Vehicle Manager falls under the Procurement, and Delivery Services (PDS) Division. PDS is responsible for purchasing IT equipment to support all of the Sponsors products and services
  • This work also includes warehouse management, inventory management, and delivery services. In support of this work, the Sponsor maintains a fleet of 30-50 vehicles
  • The Sponsor provides IT services at multiple locations with the WMA
  • The Sponsor is seeking an energetic individual with superior customer service and organizational skills
  • This is a fast-paced environment that provides the selected officer with the opportunity to demonstrate his/her customer service, communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
  • Daily, the incumbent will schedule, perform vehicle management tasks, and provide guidance to mission partners. The incumbent will be responsible for addressing mission partner requirements professionally and with the highest level of regard to transportation requirements
  • The Logistics Analyst should be flexible in nature, capable of making independent decisions which will positively affect the mission and be able to manage fast changing requirements with short fused deadlines
  • The selected candidate must possess effective communications skills to develop and foster strong relationship with report to the Sponsor’s Logistics Vehicle Manager
  • The candidate will collaborate closely with other elements within the group and will report to the Sponsor’s Logistics Vehicle Manager
  • The contractor will be provided a standard Sponsor workstation and account with access to MS Office, Outlook, Sponsor supply ordering system, asset tracking system, and internal shipping/tracking system
  • Duties to include the safe and secure transport of Sponsor vehicles, entering information into various databases, driving, performing transactions in the supply ordering system, scheduling, and delivering vehicles to local vendors for maintenance, assisting with the group’s EZ Pass account, updating Vehicle Reservation System to ensure mileage and maintain the vehicle reservation calendar
  • In addition, the officer will be working with and training the assigned vehicle Points of Contact (POC) on various vehicle processes within the group
  • The contractor wills safely transport vehicles around the WMA and surrounding area accordingly, the contractor will use the Sponsor’s tools to track vehicles and manage the maintenance records

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma
  • 10 years of experience
  • Possess TS/SCI Clearance
  • Valid driver’s license

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in operational environment and awareness of dependencies is highly desired, to include:
    • Thorough knowledge of transportation methods
    • Thorough knowledge of material management processes
    • Thorough knowledge of military and other US Government Agencies’ protocols for logistics support
  • Highly desired to have experience with MS Office, to include Outlook
