Job Description

Throughout GDIT’s 10-week summer internship program, you will work with TSS Platforms Engineering office to support and learn from the many active projects and initiatives depending on your background and interest. As an intern, you will have real responsibilities and work alongside experienced and innovative industry professionals. Your internship experience will equip you with best in class skills to take back to the classroom.


General Dynamics Information Technology desires to hire a Network Engineer Associate (Intern) to support TSS Platforms in Bossier City, LA. As a Network Engineer Associate, you will support numerous customers in both on-premises and cloud environments. You will have the opportunity to hone and develop your network experience by providing hands-on support.


Assists with the creation of network diagrams to provide a graphic representation of a customer’s infrastructure.

Evaluate vulnerability scanning results and assist Sr Engineering with Manufacturer remediation protocol and associated implementation.

Analyzes customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity.

Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.

Maintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintains system backup and recovery capability.

Coordinates Asset and Configuration profiles in the CMDB for the Data Center Network Infrastructure and make recommendations on improvements.


Creates plans and configures systems for data communication networks.

Supports the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.



Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with at least one semester of school remaining
