Be part of the System Engineering Team in support of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Firebird Infrastructure Technology Services (FITS) program.  The candidate will be responsible evaluating, designing, building, testing, implementing and supporting enterprise-class IT solutions to meet functional, technical, operational, security and performance requirements while following established, Agile implementation processes. Specific responsibilities include developing and analyzing requirements and use cases; identifying and evaluating solutions to meet requirements; developing, testing and demonstrating technical solutions in a lab environment; and  implementing approved solutions in a production environment.  Additionally, the candidate will develop and maintain requirements specifications, design documents, implementation plans, test plans, administrator guides and other documentation as required.  Candidate must possess excellent oral and writing skills as well as be an effective communicator within a team atmosphere.

Must possess an active DoD Secret clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, System Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 7+ years of hands on systems integration or engineering experience implementing solutions from concept through deployment
  • Knowledge of SAFe or other Agile methodologies
  • Proficient with Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as Citrix and VMWare
  • Understanding of IT Service Management processes for supporting an enterprise of 17,000 users globally
  • Experience analyzing, implementing and testing DISA STIG configuration settings for hardware and software
  • Demonstrated experience with performing advanced troubleshooting, conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective action plans
  • Fluency with load balancing, high-availability and disaster recovery scenarios
