GDIT has partnered with NASA to consolidate select Procurement, Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology activities from the ten NASA Centers into a single shared services center located at Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. The NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) mission is to provide timely, accurate, high quality, cost-effective, and customer focused support for selected NASA business and technical services. GDIT has an opportunity at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) for an HR Awards Specialist to contribute to our success in providing services for NASA’s Awards and Recognition Program. This will be a full-time position.The HR Awards Specialist will be responsible for providing functional and administrative support to NASA’s Awards and Recognition Program. This includes:
Developing the Agency Honor Award Nomination Call Letter.
Working with NASA Centers to ensure timely submission of awards through the automated awards system.
Establishing and supporting the Agency Expert Panels (EP).
Providing functional and logistical support to the annual Agency Honor Awards Ceremony.
Preparing and delivering Agency-level recognition items to Center Awards Officers for award ceremonies.
Notifying the Center Awards Officers of employees selected for awards/recognition.
Production and distribution of Agency approved Center-level awards materials to the Center for award ceremonies.
Administration of the Agency External Honor Awards Program.
Awards records management, maintenance, and reporting.
Supporting the purchase and maintenance of an appropriate inventory of NASA-determined and approved Agency-level award items.
Maintenance of all Agency electronic award certificate templates.
4 years of Human Resources experience required. Prior experience with support to an awards and recognition program preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and knowledge of PC-based computers and software experience using the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
Knowledge of ServiceNow Case Management preferred.
