GDIT is seeking a Solutions Expert to support our delivery and services capabilities within the Defense CTO Growth organization. You will support several key initiatives and should demonstrate capabilities and experience to support these efforts. We are looking for a solutions architect with experience in Architecture, Design, Integration, Analysis and Test. Ideally, due to the breath of projects, be technically conversant in a wide variety of topics involving real-time video processing, integrated video, sensor exploitation solutions, signal processing, electrical, RF, mechanical and software functional principles for government and commercial sectors.
This role is expected to be a blend of 25% practice (support programs), 65% proposal, and 10% internal initiatives (Software Factory, IT Portfolio, teaching, internal process, or service efficiencies/coaching experience.
This position can be remote with periodic travel to GDIT sites to work proposals.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Supports business by developing technical and business solutions.
Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs.
Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.
Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.
Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives.
Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies.
Prepare and present test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform and network configurations.
Provide updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives.
Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.
Recognized as a subject matter expert in a specific technology.
Qualifications in order to be considered:
Bachelors Degree and 15+ years of experience
7+ years of experience developing and integrating ISR sensor components such as: SAR/ISAR radars, Signals Intelligences SIGINT sensors, Electro-optics sensors, and SATCOM communications systems
5 + years of experience in the following specialties: Intelligence Analysis, AI, Cybersecurity, Modeling Simulation & Analysis.
3+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering, Infrastructure, Architecture, or other non-Software Development role
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SSM, or equivalent)
Demonstrated experience with ITSM/ALM tools (such as Jira, VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
Experience with Federal Government contracting and protocols of working with sensitive information and/or inside secure Government facilities.
Possess the technical knowledge to recommend metrics, tools, and/or techniques for enhanced transparency and operational efficiency.
Hands-on experience and understanding of traditional ITIL/ITSM process areas, program/project management and system engineering life cycle phases.
Strong technical background with experience in one (or more) of the following areas:
Military System Development and Delivery
Radar & Communications Digital Signal Processing Systems
Radar & Communication System/Subsystem Design, Analysis, Integration and/or Field Testing
Military Electronics System Testing & Integration
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Clearable US Citizen with the ability to obtain a minimum of SECRET clearance
COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To protect the health and safety of its employees and to comply with customer requirements, GDIT may require employees in certain positions to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination requirements will depend on the status of the federal contractor mandate and customer site requirements.
The likely salary range for this position is $124,000 - $186,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
