The candidate will work closely with instructors, students and others to provide administrative, registrar and training support to Center courses. Even though a team environment exists, the candidate must work independently to effectively and efficiently perform responsibilities, and will need to manage his/her time efficiently to meet requirements for current/ongoing classes while simultaneously preparing for future classes. Much of the support provided will be behind the scenes in advance of a course commencing, or after its completion. While class is in session, the candidate will have some limited face-to-face interaction with students, including but not limited to, providing an administrative briefing on the first day of class. The candidate may support 6-8 courses or more, and courses can range from fewer than 10 students to over 50. Communication will include both written and verbal. Professional communication and attention to detail are paramount in coordinating with instructors and assisting students. Core Hours for this position are 0900-1500; however, on days that a class is in session that the contractor supports, the expectation is that he/she would arrive earlier (circa 0730-0800 hours) in order to open the classroom, set it up for the day, etc. No travel is required Previous experience with Outlook and Basic MS Office are required, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Prefer candidate with some Sponsor Training System and Cognos experience, as well as basic exposure to SharePoint. Limited OJT will be provided on specific processes and procedures. The candidate will also be expected to cross-train and/or provide some OJT to other team members, as responsibilities for courses may change from time to time.
