Sr. Java Developer (Remote)

The successful candidate will be an experienced developer that has worked in multiple domains and has significant experience building web applications from start to finish.  You have developed web applications that include architectural characteristics like scalability, reliability, elasticity, security and resiliency using modern development tools.  You have experience in optimizing development for a cloud environment.  You take pride in being able to break down complex problems into simple solutions and you thrive in an environment where you have a voice and can impact team performance through seeking innovative process and development improvements

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new web applications and services and be a major contributor to migrating existing applications and services to new solutions.
• Maintain and support existing web applications, including some non-business hours.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field and a minimum of 8 years’ web development experience. A different engineering, scientific or technical degree in combination with relevant work experience may be considered.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Experience developing robust, enterprise-class web sites.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate, full-stack development.
• Experience in a cloud environment; AWS preferred.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM/CI/CD environments.
• Writing and tuning SQL and noSQL database queries.

The likely salary range for this position is $116,000 - $174,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
