GDIT is currently looking for a Software Engineer and Tester.

Job Duties

  • Support development of Test Plans and Procedures for all prototypes, through the final acceptance by the Government customer

  • Support execution of all software tests

  • Support development of Test Reports, through final acceptance by the Government customer

  • Develops and applies moderately advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.

  • Develops complex documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

  • Exercise independent judgement in the preparation and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

  • Performs advance modeling, simulation and analysis. Designs and develops basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems with extensive independent judgement.

  • Using advanced knowledge, develops software solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.

  • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of related experience.

  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

  • BA/BS degree

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while still ensuring high quality of work

  • Highly organized with strong ability to prioritize work and work autonomously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great attention to detail and presentation

  • Results driven, highly efficient, energetic and highly motivated

  • Must possess a high degree of intelligence, competence, maturity, adaptability, resilience, integrity and initiative

  • The work requires proper safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.

This position requires being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021 or the start date, if after December 8.
