General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an immediate need to fill a Configuration Management Senior Specialist to join a project team in LaPlata, Maryland. TS/SCI active clearance is needed.
You will serve as consultant/advisor supporting Headquarters Air Force AF A2/6 and Air Combat Command (ACC) A5/2D. You will ensure configuration control of a state of the art IT based enterprise that processes and disseminates intelligence information for a multitude of customers. You will coordinate and QC required documentation with multiple ground sites and five (5) Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for enterprise subsystems from cradle-to-grave. You will ensure all entities have completed required milestones and documentation and ready documentation for government representative sign-off for promotion to operations.
Directly supports one or more projects
Performs CM activities associated with configuration identification; change control; release management; status accounting; and reviews and audits.
Participates in CM planning. Oversees library setup and control for all developmental and product components.
Participates in identification and marking of baseline product components.
Responsible for reviewing program CM policies. Makes recommendation for CM policy changes. Drafts, edits, and coordinates program CM policy documents with government stakeholders.
Produces status accounting metrics
Participates in source code control tool evaluations and implementation
Reports on CM activities and maintains status accounting records
Conducts process audits
Works with project and QA management to identify and resolve quality issues
Supports deviation and waiver tracking
Participates in process improvement initiatives
Supports Configuration Control Boards
Manages CDRLs delivered by developmental OEMs
Manages/Maintains SharePoint sites – establish new pages, areas, access, and post/purge/archive documentation.
8+ Years of IT Enterprise Configuration Management and Integration experience
Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI and able to pass CI Poly)
Bachelor's Degree; 9 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree, preferred
A working knowledge of communication-electronics systems and satellite communications/architectures is desired
Highly professional interpersonal relationship skills, able to communicate effectively up, down and laterally within the DoD chain of command, with corporate entities, and external agencies
