Be a part of the men and women that solve some of the worlds most complex technical challenges! General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Business/Finance Analyst to support the Navy Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana.

In this role you analyze business and financial processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.

Duties include:

  • Performs a variety of complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of a contract program.

  • Monitors and reports performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

  • Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.

  • Responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis.

  • Prepare monthly forecast, risk assessment and variance analysis to senior management.

  • Prepare financials for monthly close and forecasting process.

  • Analyze both the monthly forecast and current quarter and future projections.

  • Act as focal point for communication of financials.

  • Develop long-range financial models in collaboration with the management team.

  • Ensures compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as other government regulations.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Manage revenue and cost adjustment submission, ensuring accuracy and review of proper back up information.

  • Monitor and assess financial impact changes of Indirect rates, rate pools, and allocations.

  • Perform a broad range of business-related functions pertaining to contractual/funding issues, and government audits

  • Actively engage with stakeholders, keeping them abreast of potential concerns, risks and competing priorities

  • Fluent with various financial reporting software applications and have the desire to learn new and emerging applications

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree: additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the areas of financial cost analysis, budgeting, auditing, forecasting and proposal preparation, preferably in a DoD contracting environment

  • Strong experience with Excel and other MS Office applications

  • Secret clearance
