Job Description

We are GDIT. Our work depends on a VTC Support Specialist joining our team to support USAMRDC activities at Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As a VTC Support Specialist, you will be trusted to support video teleconferencing, including scheduling, hardware maintenance, and administration.


  • Your expertise with VTC and SVTC technologies will enable the seamless operation of MRDC video teleconference in unclassified and classified settings.
  • Analyze VTC network and recommend procurement, removal, and modification of components.
  • Administer VTC and SVTC units and desktop VTC stations and ensure VTC equipment is fully operational.
  • Supervise scheduling of multi-point VTC and SVTC conferences and nineteen (19) conference rooms with VTC capabilities.
  • Provide coverage of all internal multi-point VTC and SVTC conferences.
  • Operate and maintain VTC and SVTC bridge and multi-point control unit.
  • Schedule audio and visual bridge for use by external customers.
  • Coordinate the maintenance, repair, and parts replacement with manufacturer and/or reseller of associated with hardware and software components.
  • Maintain and update software application for the VTC and SVTC system on appropriate server in the National Capital Region (NCR).
  • Provide VTC and SVTC meeting facilitation including use of collaborative document sharing, slides, and presentations.
  • Provide MS TEAMS support as required for internal and external meetings.


  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Possess active 8570.01-M baseline certification(s) Security+ CE, CND or equivalent
  • Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft TEAMS with additional experience in, Zoom, Cisco Webex, Adobe Connect or other commonly used VTC platforms
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: HS/GED, 0+ years of experience
