At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Operations Manager supporting the Data Center operations for the CDC, you will be trusted to meet all operational SLA’s in support of their Data Center of the future. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Managing a team of 10+ employees
Be the single point of contact for the Cloud environment operations
Provide incident management and response for the program to meet all SLAs
Develop, document and maintain standard operating procedures that meet CDC requirements
Develop Operational documentation
Perform event management monitoring of IT services to detect abnormal conditions
Provide and manage infrastructure tools, software and services in the private cloud to meet SLAs and minimize downtime
Develop and provide monthly operational reports and real-time dashboards
Operate and manage the private cloud infrastructure including compute, storage, network, software and applications
Escalate issues as needed
Provide knowledge transfer sessions and verify run books to reflect current conditions
Work with CDC to define private cloud Support Infrastructure Policies, requirements and strategies
BA/BS plus 10 years of Data Center Operations experience
7 years of Cloud Operations
ITIL V3 Foundation Certification
Experience with Cloud technologies and providers including AWS and Azure
MS Office suite of products
