Our work depends on a Business Analyst II joining our team to support the CMS Quality Data Analytics and Services (QDAS) contract.
A Business Analyst II:
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
Provides consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist.
In this role, a typical day will include:
Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for new and ongoing project.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, streamlining, centralizing and business improvement processes
Managing the creation of backlog items (i.e. user stories). Managing feature and epic creation.
Maintaining current project documentation and updating as necessary.
Partnering with business process owners and management on strategic initiatives
May be responsible for resolution of complex problems escalated by lower level consultants
Coaching and providing guidance to less-experienced professionals
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BA/BS and or 5+ years of work experience
Proficiency with Atlassian Tools including Jira and Confluence.
Proven experience with in large data and analytic projects.
Functional knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies.
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Experience with telecommuting, working from a home office
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Medicaid and Medicare programs. Experience with Medicare Quality Programs highly preferred.
Experience with Health Care Industry
