General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a full time Web Content Administrator/508 Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be innovative, dedicated, and highly motivated to solve problems for our client, the federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE), Division of Customer Communications (DCC)).
In this role, you will:
Coordinate with federal employees and contractors to ensure the OCSE website is kept in compliance with federal communication regulations.
Coordinate with federal managers to evaluate current structure, operations, and content of the OCSE website, provide recommendations for improvements.
Create and maintain technical guidance and policies for OCSE website content.
Evaluate and analyze OCSE website statistics and user feedback, provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the OCSE website.
Manage action items and project schedule for overall maintenance and functionality of the OCSE website.
Support monthly meetings with page coordinators, providing updates and technical training as appropriate.
Provide subject matter expertise for the Drupal content management system.
Creates, edits, and updates web content using Drupal.
Assist with the administration of OCSE’s use of a commercial photo website.
Maintain and upload designs and products to shared directory (currently SharePoint).
Support OCSE website design and ensure that the OCSE website meets the standards for 508 compliance, and other federal or agency specific requirements; this includes converting documents to 508 compliant PDFs
Help improve program communications. Some tasks may include coordinating or leading trainings, developing handouts, creating, or enhancing existing tools like the OCSE style guide, for example.
Required Skill Set:
Advanced capabilities in Drupal or similar content management system
Experience with converting documents to 508 compliant PDFs
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proven capacity to develop concise, professional, high quality web content
Effective interpersonal and communication skills and a strong customer service orientation.
Sharp analytical skills; ability to research, evaluate and explain concepts.
Propensity for independent initiative; self-motivated to seek out improvements and solutions wherever possible to and for tasks and deliverables.
Aptitude and flexibility to prioritize tasks, respond effectively to ad hoc tasks, and meet critical deadlines.
Strong background and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office suite.
Skillset preferred but not required:
Knowledge of the child support enforcement program
Knowledge of and experience with SharePoint
Experience or interest in graphic design
Self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, and ability to multi-task effectively
Required education/experience for this position:
5 years general work experience
Currently, this role is remote. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, the work location for this position is the Department of Health and Human Services Mary Switzer Building near Federal Center Southwest in Washington, D.C.
