Our work depends on System Administrator III joining our team to support one of our Maryland customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently provides advance level technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
     
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

  • Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

  • Provide support to IT systems including Day-to-Day operations and Monitoring and Problem resolutions for all of the client problems.

  • Provide Second level problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems.

  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.

  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Must possess experience in one or more systems and architectures and associated hardware:      Mainframe, Mini and Client/server based.
  • Performs advance software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users.
  • Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May provide guidance to less-experienced personnel.
  • Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning long-term strategies.
  • May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.
  • DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience
  • Must possess an ACTIVE TS/SCI with POLYGRAPH CLEARANCE
  • DoD 8570 Requirement: One of the following DoD approved certifications is required to meet the category/level IAT-2 DoD 8570 requirement for this position: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), CASP+ CE, GCIH, GCED, CCNP Security, CySA+, or GICSP
