GDIT is supporting EPA's Office of Environmental Information under the Infrastructure Support and Applications Hosting task order. The purpose of this contract is to develop and operate EPA's infrastructure and application platforms to be reliable, secure, and technologically advanced. The services obtained under this contract support the entirety of EPA at all geographic locations and numerous research facilities across the United States. The services consist of data center management, application hosting, application deployment/maintenance, geo-spatial service support, network security, cyber security, cloud computing, COOP support, and Enterprise Identity and Access Management (EIAM) and Active Directory (AD). The primary work location is in Research Triangle Park, NC.
We are currently seeking a Configuration Analyst with focus areas of project tracking, Vulnerability tracking and user access management to join our team supporting the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Networks and Security Operations Division.
The primary role for this position will provide support for multiple teams as the interface between the technical engineers and the EPA tracking and reporting systems to ensure that vulnerability reporting is delivered to the correct technical teams that are assigned to perform resolution and that these vulnerabilities are tracked, and status reported.
The candidate for this position will perform the following duties and tasks (this list is not inclusive of all potential duties and tasks):
Program Control Analyst
Coordinates the collection of data to be entered into the vulnerability spreadsheet. Data accuracy is critical and must be verified that all information is provided correctly.
The creation and maintenance of SOP(s) that explain the overall vulnerability management process.
Tracks weekly changes provided by vulnerability reports of any new or resolved vulnerabilities and updates the tracking spreadsheet.
Potentially utilizing the service request system, tracks requests, alerts technical team members to needed input and assigns service requests to engineers for implementation.
Uses Access Management process to receive and coordinate access requests for systems managed by the supported teams. Coordinates with systems administrators to identify access requested and confirm access has been provided. Updates tracking sheets with access granted to be used as audit point.
Provides monthly reporting on vulnerability activity.
Interfacing with and training other team members regarding vulnerability resolution processes.
Tracks team tickets and assigns them based on complexity, team member availability/load and skill level to handle ticket requirements.
Tracks Firewall Rule Requests from initial request to completion and remote access requests in the same manner.
Hold meetings as requited with technical team to correctly identify vulnerability assignment.
Interfaces with EPA customer to provide assistance and status information.
The Candidate must also have the following non-technical qualifications and abilities:
Strong organizational skills and detail orientated.
Ability to handle priority changes on short notice and work independently.
Experience using a central ticketing system such as Service Now
Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite for process documentation and spreadsheet creation (emphasis on Excel skills)
Developing and documenting SOPs related to the work being performed
Must be detail orientated
Strong communication skills and conducts themselves in a professional manner
Ability to work with technical professionals and assist them in maintaining process compliance
General understanding of vulnerability scanning and resolution.
Understanding of statistics collection, presentation and reporting.
