Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Java Developer to support the NIH National Cancer Institute (NCI).  In this role, you will be a member of an established team that provides specialized software development, system support services, and other technical skills to meet the increasing level of automation activities within the division.

HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER ASSOCIATE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • Assists with all phases of the software development lifecycle
  • Performs software updates, refinement, testing, and debugging
  • Prepares reports on software project specifications, activities, or status
  • Assists with the documentation of software or system for future maintenance and updates

 
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:


● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Required Experience:  

  • Minimum of one year of Java experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience with Oracle PL/SQL database
  • Minimum of one year of experience with Web service development  (RESTful)
  • Minimum of one year of JavaScript experience
  • Minimum of one year of configuration management experience (GitHub, SVN, or SourceSafe)
  • Minimum of one year of Maven build experience

● Must be able to obtain a NIH public trust
● Location: Fully remote now but may eventually require return to customer site in Rockville
