HOW A LINUX PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Integrate Linux Systems (currently, RHEL 7/8 and Ubuntu systems) into a primary Windows environment (workstations & servers) where authentication, authorization, and accounting actives are controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On. 
• Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensuring that initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls (e.g. proper agents installed, proper configs, etc.).
• Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling (e.g. ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, Backup systems, etc.).
• Oversee all technology and technological resources, establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans.
• Set strategy and make executive technology decisions that align the agency with its vision and technological needs.
• Develop objectives and strategies for the implementation of innovative solutions while optimizing existing systems, applications, and information.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Education: Masters of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field.  Experience may be substituted for education.
• Required Experience: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
• Required Technical Skills: Thorough experience preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Ubuntu or a derivative. Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment. 
• Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI Eligible
• Required Skills and Abilities: Strong oral and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to convey conceptual ideas both written and verbally; Strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Location: Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available
