GDIT is currently looking for a Network Engineer in Support of DISA in Stuttgart Germany to support the testing of network hardware at different locations throughout Europe. Must have a current and active TS/SCI clearance and able to obtain a Polygraph.


As the selected Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the following, but not limited to:

  • Successful candidates will need to have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Must have a 8570 IAT level 3 compliant and certified in WIN 10 Computing environment to be technicians/installers.
  • Provide Logistical support; warehousing, shipping, receiving, movement of equipment to and from Stuttgart, SHAPE, Ramstein, Naples areas, and disposition of equipment to DRMO.
  • Conducts activities such as planning, coordinating, configuring, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and tuning devices on any given type of a network infrastructure which might include routers, switches, gateways, firewall systems, multi-function switches, end offices, signaling transfer points, private branch exchanges, voice over - IP [VoIP], voice mail, call management systems [CMS] and network security devices.
  • Interconnection of various networking devices via Fiber and CAT6 cabling. Organizing Network rooms and working with customer to upgrade network equipment throughout Europe. 
  • Conduct Site Survey to prepare for network upgrades and to produce distinctive work packages for implementation actions.                                                                                                                                              
  • Site survey undertakings to provide engineering and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare floor space diagrams, rack equipment diagrams, connectivity tables, and installation checklists. Knowledgeable utilizing the Microsoft applications such as, Visio, Word, and Excel.
  • Plan, deploy, install, test, troubleshoot and repair standard network infrastructure systems.
  • Installation and/or removal of equipment into a rack or cabinet, cable ladder and patch panels. Installation of network devices and the interface cables to facilitate required interconnectivity.
  • Engineer new designs to resolve cabinet management and network device issues.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network connectivity on numerous devices, to include routers and switches in a telecommunications room.
  • Successful candidates will need to have an active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Property Accountability is a must
  • 75% Travel will be a Requirement and to other European Countries.
  • Candidate is required to performed other additional duties and assist other programs or department within the Organization in support of the Contract.
