Travel Required: 10-25%

Work is generally guided by pre-approved MK-41 VLS procedures and may require input to develop and recommend procedure corrective actions or improvements.

May perform as team lead or as part of a team during shipboard equipment removals, installations, testing, and/or repairs.

Ability to coordinate field engineering teams shipboard or in shipyard environment and resolve scheduling and technical conflicts with customers, vendors, and suppliers.

Ability to solve technical problems where investigation and troubleshooting is required.

High level of analytical ability to analyze and correct deficiencies on mechanical and electrical equipment

Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in order to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems.

Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment.

Provides work leadership to less-experienced technicians.

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

Required Skills and Education:

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

3+ years of applicable experienc.

This position requires SMT with ISEA/FSR certification; there is no exception to this requirement.
