GDIT – Federal Civilian Division is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Joint Services Medical Liaison) to join our team to support the United States Army Medical Material Development Activity (USAMMDA). This position is based in Ft. Detrick – Frederick, Maryland.

The Joint Services Liaison will support the Warfighter Health, Performance and Evacuation (WHPE) Project Management Office (PMO) in the acquisition planning and document preparation for integrating Army advanced developmental products to all the Services. 

The tasks to be performed are as follows:

  • Provide top level technical and functional expert product management support in the development of strategies and documentation to communicate WHPE advanced developmental products for use by all the Services
  • Communicate with a large network of matrixed organizations within the DoD, US Army, Air Force, Navy, SOCOM and other Services and Federal agencies to ensure understanding of the WHPE product efforts for future integration to all services
  • Identify and document risks and provide recommendations to reduce or mitigate risks
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on operational medicine concepts across the joint forces for product development, planning, and acquisition document development
  • Regularly travel to and meet with end user soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines to demonstrate, familiarize, train, and gather feedback from end users on multiple WHPE PMO products
  • Design, develop, coordinate, support and manage Early Operational Assessments, Developmental Tests, and Operation Assessments of various WHPE PMO products to best analyze and evaluate each products’ usability, efficacy, and capabilities in the operational setting
  • Attend DoD and medical related symposiums to demonstrate WHPE Products and generate greater awareness and visibility of products within the greater DoD organization
  • Provide status reports to the various WHPE PMO Product and Project Managers on a biweekly basis
  • Communicate with personnel at various echelons and in multiple DoD- and other U.S. government agencies using effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manage numerous efforts and effectively prioritize and multi-task requirements that have a direct impact on the program
  • Be a substantive participant in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Draft program acquisition documentation to support IPTs and Product Managers
  • Coordinate meetings, lead working groups, develop and/or edit agendas and meeting minutes, develop technical documentation, and assist with other tasks and deliverables as required to provide support to the PMO
  • Participate in special projects as required


  • Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Science, or Business, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience
  • 12+ years of related experience within and/or supporting multiple services such as Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and SOCOM
  • Have prior Military Service in project management and leadership positions.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, testing, and evaluating military specific products
  • Intermediate level use of Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required
  • Must be U.S. citizen and have a Secret Clearance
