GDIT has an exciting opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineer rebuilding Electric Power Plant III 150 KW, 400 HZ generators in Korea. Successful applicant must have an active U.S. Government issued SECRET clearance, a valid passport, be a self-starter, and have a high degree of craftsmanship\quality in their work. 

Description of Duties:

  • Complete disassembly, testing, and reassembly of EPP III generators down to the individual engine and main generator subcomponent level.
  • Uses precision test equipment including various electrical meters, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Complete teardown, inspection, testing, and rebuilding of diesel engines.
  • Fabricate wire harnesses and solder terminals.
  • Troubleshoot engine, control panel, and electrical faults.
  • Operate dyno and load bank test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair dyno, load bank, and overload unit.
  • Operate generator final test and performance monitoring equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS plus 2 years’ experience, AA/AS/plus 4 years’ experience, or a High School diploma and 6 years’ experience.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government SECRET clearance.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • US passport must not expire for at least 2 more years and must have at least 4 blank pages in it.
