GDIT is seeking a Records Management Architect to help support an exciting new Cloud Service Offering contract, Defense Enterprise Office Solutions (DEOS), in Fort Meade, MD. This position will require the employee to report onsite at least 3-4 days a week. 

NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract funding and tasking. 

Successful candidate provides applied subject matter expertise to information management, governance, content, record and archival management, and compliance. Additional responsibilities include the following: 

  • Work with Government counterparts to develop records management governance

  • Assist Engineers in recommending configurations within the IL6 environment to ensure compliance and customer usability 

  • Review, modify, and implement changes to the standardized taxonomy

  • Support the administration of records management program, including policy adherence, providing guidelines, assisting in digital implementation and defining automated methods to detect associated preservation orders. 

  • Develop and assist in the delivery of training materials related to document management principals, processes, and functions 

  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders on eDiscovery, Litigation Hold and retention or destruction of electronic documents and email.   

  • Ensure compliance with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance  

  • BA/BS Degree

  • 10 years of experience (additional years of experience and/or certifications may be considered in place of education) 

  • Extensive experience in designing and developing record and information management solution to manage record lifecycle for physical, electronic, hybrid records. 

  • Experience on defining Records management roadmap & strategies 

  • Experience in assessment, consulting, defining functional and solution requirements, defining/ modeling processes, defining taxonomy, defining governance models of various enterprise content management systems and systems of records – SharePoint, OpenText, AvePoint etc. 

  • Demonstrated experience with Records Disposition Schedule

  • Exceptional analytical, research, and problem solving skills 

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical and program requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment 

  • Proficient in the ability to effectively manage risks, issues, and change requests   

  • Ability to adapt to change effectively   

  • Strong and effective communication and presentation skills    

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized   

  • Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment independently and as part of a team 

  • Able to report onsite as indicated above

Desired Qualifications:  

  • National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) Certified Records Management Certification
