GDIT is seeking a immunologist to support the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Diarrheal Diseases Research Program. Duties are listed below:

Laboratory Experimentation: The contractor will possess experience in ELISA/flow cytometric testing, functional assay development and demonstrate proficiency in performing all immunological assays. Routinely performs or overseeing the conduct of each assay. SME in the day to day operations as well as implementation of new equipment/technologies within the Immunology Team of the Diarrheal Disease Research Department.


a) PhD degree in the biological sciences
b) Technical knowledge and skills developing and conducting immunological experiments in the area of enteric diseases, vaccine development and assay development. Design and validation parameters for ELISA assay development and testing.
c) Scientific: Ability to work independently in performing tasks listed: animal handling; operating equipment, develop and enter programs required for protein purification and immunological analysis and analyzing data. Ability to plan and execute tasks following specified timelines.
d) Budget / Financial: Tracking of the budget is an important part of Laboratory management.
e) Laboratory Planning: Develop a Laboratory experimental plan bringing together the information under the Task on projects, Ability to manage personnel: Positions requires person with demonstrated inter-personnel skills with ability to coordinate with multiple departments.
f) Laboratory Experimentation: Possess experience in ELISA/flow cytometric testing and demonstrate proficiency in performing all immunological assays. Routinely performs or oversees the performance of each assay as workload dictates. SME in the day to day operations as well as implementation of new equipment/technologies within the Immunology laboratory.
g) Ensure Program Managers have access to critical data, including real time and point-in-time reporting as defined within the scope of the Task on this PWS.
