Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for project planning, coordination, direction, control, progress and risk reporting and also facilitates and directs project implementation and completion, while remaining aligned with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. In addition, project managers occasionally aid the solution development process by facilitating and directing process workflow development/improvement sessions.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Oversee and proactively facilitate and lead business and project success
  • Create and manage project plans
  • Define project schedules, ensure resources are allocated, and monitor progress
  • Align project objectives with company goals, and ensure objectives are clear to the project team
  • Facilitate and lead project team with the design and development tasks
  • Lead process of issue identification and resolution
  • Manage risk tracking process
  • Monitor and manage scope
  • Manage all documentation
  • Work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Foster partnership with customers/stakeholders/sponsors
  • Communicate project status and risks with the appropriate stakeholders throughout the implementation project life cycle
  • Create and maintain documentation for key project decisions, action items, issues, risks, and other pertinent information
  • Where appropriate, expand product requirements through interviews and analysis
  • Where appropriate, recommend implementation of features and functions to meet product  requirements and foster product quality
  • Assist in defining project governance plans and procedures
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel

Educational and Year of Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree with 3 years of related experience or an Associate’s degree with 6 years of related experience.

  • Proficient in the use of analytic tools such as data gathering and analysis, flow-charting, process diagramming, use of spreadsheets
  • Experience with common and complex Agile / Scrum practices, service-oriented software development environments, and industry best practices
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of demonstrated experience managing and directing complex projects or business process analysis /analytics
