Senior Scrum Master

Looking for an experienced Senior Scrum Master to join our Cloud Engineering and Migration team to support current cloud requirements, cloud migration and deployment of new requirements to the AWS Cloud environment for our federal customers. We are looking for a subject matter expert in agile/scaled agile development methodology who embraces the DevSecOps culture and can deliver consistent improvements to the customer’s environment with minimal guidance. Job Description:

  • The Scrum Master is responsible for planning, leading, organizing, executing and motivating project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects that provide exceptional business value to client.
  • The Scrum Master is responsible for leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, regularly report on status, and manage projects through the entire lifecycle.
  • The Scrum Master will enable an agile DevSecOps operational model for the customer’s environment.
  • The Scrum Master will manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks and issues of projects and act as a leader and mentor to the team members.
  • The Scrum Master is responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment.
  • The Scrum Master may play other roles as needed to support successful project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • U. S. Citizenship.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or other relevant field.
  • 2+ years of extensive hands-on experience using DevSecOps and agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.) in an AWS environment(s).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as Scrum Master performing various Sprint activities and Agile Ceremonies like sprint planning, daily scrums, backlog grooming, performance measuring, Leading Scrums, plan and execute Program Implement (PI) planning etc.
  • Solid understanding of and demonstrated hands-on experience in using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira, Version One, Rally or equivalent.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and adapt to rapidly changing requirements.
  • Ability to analyze problems with a flexible and creative approach and then propose multiple alternative solutions.
  • Ability to effectively and confidently communicate complex concepts – in speaking and writing –with team members and all levels of technical and nontechnical customer stakeholders.
  • Capable self-starter and quick learner with lots of initiative, working independently without day-to-day supervision of tasks and proactively seeking solutions to problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, quality, and follow-through; commitment to continuous improvement and the elimination of performance variability.
  • Experience with development, release, change, inventory, knowledge management, and end-user support systems


  • Plan, implement, and manage performance of cross-functional teams.
  • Apply a wide range of agile principles/practices to provide responsive and effective management solutions – plan and lead daily Scrum meetings, conduct Sprints, program increment planning, and project management.
  • Manage multiple small projects working with other subject matter experts and technical teams, manage deliverables, milestones etc.
  • Maintain project roadmap and reprioritize sprint backlog as directed by customer.
  • Lead, and participate in sprint demonstration meetings and progress briefings to the customer; follow up on direction given by customer with action items, questions, documentation, etc.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of staff members, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring as needed to ensure consistency and adherence to standards relevant to agile release cycle.


  • Agile certification (Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMP-ACP, or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience using agile methodologies. (Scrum, Kanban. SAFe etc.)
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as Scrum Master performing various Sprint activities and Agile Ceremonies
