We are seeking an Officer, Security Senior, to join our team who will be responsible for managing the Industrial Security functions for the Fed-CIV Division, Department of State program located in Sterling, Virginia.

**Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this role will require three days a week on-site, with the other two being remote. This will likely change at some point in the future.

Responsibilities include:
• Develops, and administers security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment.
• Facilitate team progress through timely and effective management of all aspects of the security clearance and suitability process.
• Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations.
• Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies.
• Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials.
• Utilize security database to capture actions and ensure data integrity
• Review Personnel Security Questionnaires (SF-86 and SF-85P), verify information submitted on applications contact subjects via approved methods to complete information on background investigation forms
• Conducts security education classes, security presentations for subcontractors and consultants, and performs annual security audits. Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action when needed. Support data calls as necessary
• Conduct bi-weekly security presentations for new personnel
• Conducts annual compliance self-inspection within the facility
• Works closely with HQ’s FSO on security related matters
• Manages overall security program for Department of State and DoD client
• Responsible for managing onsite physical security, which includes but is not limited to access control system, processing and maintaining badges for program personnel, SRD facility upgrades, CRP reviews and oversight, escorting vendors as necessary

To be considered, candidates MUST HAVE the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience, plus five years minimum related experience; or nine years total related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree (related experience in physical security or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry.)

 Top Secret security clearance.

• Access Control Database knowledge

• Ability to communicate clearly orally and in writing.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and Excel

The following skills and abilities are very strongly preferred:
• Working knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD) National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), Experience with the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Defense and the Questionnaire for Investigative Processing (eQIP)
• Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing Visit Access Requests in JPAS; Experience with conducting security briefings and debriefings
• Experience with the DD254 Process
• Working knowledge of NISS/DISS
