At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Systems Engineer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to develop and integrate sustainable IT solutions for Windows platform migration. In this role, a typical day will include:
Working on a dynamic team of PM engineers to migrate Windows Servers from a physical environment to a virtual one.
Performing SAN storage and backup configuration
Developing processes for Windows platform migration for a virtual and AWS environment.
Establishing web-based host for VMWare clients and provision servers.
Building out a virtual infrastructure and allocating virtual servers.
Designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Minimum of 10 years related experience.
Technical Skills: "Architect" type LAN/Engineer w/ cloud knowledge; Engineering, configuration and OM support for Windows 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 servers & data migration; Windows platform migration to Cloud computing and virtualization, VMWare, SCOM, Microsoft, CONSO, WSUS, ArchServe, Vormetrics.
Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity of IBM Domino and Lotus Notes
