Supports an internet-based program in Tampa, FL by working with a team of software developers, data engineers and data scientists to create, refine, monitor, and manage information management approaches and platforms. Manages existing platforms and supports development of new capabilities to collect and manage data in support of social media operations.

Duties:

  • Coordinates with teams and program analysts to architect solutions that enable analysts to perform their functions.

  • Reviews projects' ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions, learning and incorporating new technologies as appropriate.

  • Researches, identifies, tests, implements, and leverages technical solutions to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Identifies opportunities for technical solutions to improve integration of operational project aspects; assists in supervision, installation, testing, and setup of new solutions

  • Participates in Agile project management methodologies to support all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Builds and operates scalable and secure systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable and emerging technologies

  • Integrates research and development efforts with project-level efforts within the program to create shared learning and best practices

  • Manages enterprise SharePoint.

  • Liaises with related internal and approved external technology-based entities to ensure program integration within broader DoD efforts.

Required skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Solutions Engineer, Product Manager, or similar role

  • Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements

  • IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud development, software development, Software as a Service (SaaS) experience

  • Project management

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desired skills:

  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. C, Python, or Ruby)

  • Experience with data technologies (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, SQL)

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, D3.js and R)

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Proven analytical skills

  • Problem-solving attitude

Required education/certifications/clearance:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

  • 8+ years' experience

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance

Desired education/certifications/clearance:

  • Active DoD TS clearance with SCI eligibility
