QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience in intelligence reporting tradecraft, field operations, and protection of sources and methods

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Ability to work with digital data streams throughout the data lifecycle
  • Possess basic working knowledge of data exploitation techniques and trends
  • Have background in identifying intelligence from disparate technical information sources
  • Ability to work with mission partners in a variety of offices and USG agencies to manage technical collections and establish best practices
  • Ability to learn and apply tradecraft to protect operations and equities
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of customer policies, regulations, and legal guidance

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Certification or training in data governance
  • Familiarity with computer file structures, and various file types
  • Understanding of the practices and infrastructure in which the IC transmits, stores, and exploits data including the capabilities, limitations, and classification restrictions of those systems
  • Experience working with IC agencies
  • Understanding of customer specific systems and databases, classified data repositories, and HUMINT collection techniques
  • Experience supporting operational activities, IC data activities, and protection of sources and methods
  • Familiar with big data and big data reporting issues

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage data operations and data management on obtaining and documenting collections of potential foreign intelligence (FI) value. Communicate with counterparts on the priority/potential value of those data sets.
  • Coordinate on targeting cables with an eye toward course protection and identifying information of FI value.
  • Work with technical experts on tolls and capabilities to extract FI from data domain.
  • Conduct post dissemination duties related to FI reporting such as grading and evaluation, clearance requests, taskings, IC inquiries about the status, use, origins, classification, and/or distribution of the reporting.
  • Engage with field, WMA counterparts on information of FI value and follow on operations and engagements originating from newly developed leads.
  • Maintain and deploy templates/guidance for various collection and dissemination scenarios.
