GDIT is seeking a National Security Advisor with expertise in countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) to support training for Defense Threat Reduction Agency international WMD training and technical assistance programs .
Immediate opportunity for an experienced countering WMD subject matter expert. This GDIT full-time position supports a Defense Threat Reduction Agency International combating proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction training program, as well as opportunities with other U.S. Government agencies. Applicants must have a minimum of 10 years of experience working with Military, Law Enforcement, Intelligience and Policy organizations to counter national security threats.
Knowledge of current technologies, best practices for design, and implementation of effective whole of government national security operations related to WMD is essential.
Must be capable of providing expert advice, training, and leadership guidance regarding joint and interagency response concepts, operations and activities supporting WMD counter-proliferation efforts.
Knowledge and experience in CBRNE material as well as an understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport and use.
Experience as a mentor, advisor, or liaison outside of the United States is highly preferred but not required. At a minimum, applicants should possess an understanding of the challenges associated with working with host nation counterparts and have basic familiarity with a broad range of emergency response and management issues.
Experience as an instructor is preferred.
