GDIT is hiring a Program/Data Analyst to support the Army Public Health Center (APHC) located in Aberdeen, MD. In direct support of the APHC's Division of Behavioral and Social Health Outcomes Practice, the Program/Data Analyst will serve as a program evaluation subject matter expert.

APHC's mission is to: Enhance Army readiness by identifying and assessing current and emerging health threats, developing and communicating public health solutions, and assuring the quality and effectiveness of the Army's Public Health Enterprise.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of quantitative, qualitative, social, clinical and public health scientists
  • Assisting design and implement retrospective and prospective analyses of multiple data sources to inform the evaluation of direct-care and community-based programs and services that address behavioral and social health concerns and inform DA and DoD level policies.
  • Advising on evaluation techniques and metrics, and the development and delivery of quality data collection tools and deliverables.
  • Employing qualitative and quantitative software to gather and analyze data and report findings: NVivo for qualitative data analyses, Verint for survey development, and SAS to conduct descriptive analyses.
  • Designing, implementing, analyzing, synthesizing and reporting on interviews, focus groups, index case analyses, and surveys using qualitative and mixed methods for epidemiological investigations, field studies and program evaluations related to behavioral and social health outcomes.
  • Conducting literature reviews to inform the development of project plans and manuscripts.
  • Providing technical expertise to internal and external multidisciplinary working groups and stakeholders.
  • Providing feedback on project plans, information papers, project deliverables and manuscripts.
  • Translating analytic findings into relevant actionable recommendations to address behavioral and social health issues such as suicidal behavior, interpersonal violence, substance misuse.
  • Performing at a level to present work at national convening organizations, American Psychological Association, and publish peer reviewed manuscripts.
  • Advising on evaluation techniques and metrics, and the development and delivery of quality data collection tools and deliverables.
  • Employing qualitative and quantitative software to gather and analyze data and report findings: NVivo for qualitative data analyses, Verint for survey development, and SAS to conduct descriptive analyses.
  • Conducting literature reviews for the development of project plans and manuscripts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field required.
  • 2+ years experience in healthcare related field and experience.
  • Knowledge of standard qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques
  • Experience in translating analytic findings into relevant actionable recommendations to address behavioral and social health issues such as suicidal behavior, interpersonal violence, substance misuse.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred.
  • NVivo, Verint and SAS data collection techniques preferred.
