At GDIT, people are our differentiator. In this role, a typical day will include:
Responsible for the timeliness and quality of all contract and assigned deliverables associated with records management and support.
Manage risks, perform mitigations, and track issues to resolution.
Responsible for performing process management, document repository management, repository audits, disaster recovery, and additional support services, leveraging creativity and latitude where appropriate.
Manages and administers the maintenance, development, and implementation of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of USPS software assets including source code, release media, and associated SDLC documentation for both on-site and off-site storage.
Coordinates access to records.
Organizes, converts, and integrates files for storage.
Manages the information life cycle from initial publication or creation through archival and eventual disposal.
Executes a retention policy on the disposal of records which are no longer required.
Coordinates receipt, archival, and distribution of software release packages.
Performs periodic audits to maintain repository standards.
Takes the lead for repository audits on-site biannually and the entire repository annually.
Writes audit reports, training documentation, and other documentation with accuracy, readability, and completeness.
Performs document searches and creates reports.
Trains and supports personnel with the repository.
Perform a variety of tasks as requested using high organizational skills, very good indexing qualities, and good administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Stay informed of and drive the appropriate application of concepts, practices, and procedures related to the field of software archival.
Responsible for tracking and reporting progress in written and verbal forms to stakeholders at multiple levels.
Responsible for effectively collaborating across many stakeholders in an integrated environment and interfacing with multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelor’s degree in Records Management, Library and Information Science or a related area
5+ years of professional experience

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days. We can only accept Green Card Holders or US Citizens for this program.
