Generally shifts from 0600-1800. Weekend work. Corrective maintenance performed with minimal guidance. Test vehicles after all repairs are complete to verify repair was successful. Repairs a/c systems, charging systems, radiators, vehicle suspension components. Use diagnostics, skills and knowledge to detect defective issues with vehicles. Uses various scanners (Snap On, Battery Vat 40, R134A Robinaire A/C Machine), and other tools to diagnose and repair vehicles. Preventive Maintenance Mechanic works independently and will call on maintenance supervisor if there is an issue that cannot be resolved. Administrative Support Mechanic responds to road calls when needed. Once monthly, the mechanic is assigned to the late shift to respond to roadside assistance calls. Experience in shuttle buses and vehicles in that class. State Inspections, Emissions, Class A CDL.
