GDIT is seeking an Encryption Consultant to provide expertise on the current and planned encryption techniques and platforms in the DISN core and DISN edge. This lead position will support a soon-to-be awarded critical contract enabling DISA to address the growing and dynamic software, engineering, technical, and security needs of the warfighter.
Active Top-Secret clearance.
DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or higher).
Expertise with various Types of encryption, particularly Type 1 and Type 3, High Assurance Encryption (HAE), Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Cryptographic High Value Products (CHVP), associated network management elements, Key Extension Requests (KER), Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), and Traffic Flow Security.
MA/MS Degree with minimum of 15 years’ experience and will consider BA/BS degree with minimum of 10 years’ experience.
Previous experience designing, developing, testing, and evaluating information system security encryption throughout the systems development life cycle.
Provide Tier III engineering and encryption support in response to internal and external requests and escalations.
Troubleshoot and resolve encryption system issues and problems, develop configurations for systems and capabilities, conduct cybersecurity assessments, provide training, and provide analyses/recommendations/lessons learned reports.
Experience developing customer or product encryption requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Possess flexibility to operate in a highly dynamic environment while ensuring a high level of operational effectiveness.
Detail oriented with ability to work well in a team environment.
Prior experience with engineering and evolution of the Defense Information System Network (DISN).
