Conducts necessary research to develop and revise simulation exercises, and assess student medic's critical thinking and psychomotor skills of health care provider students within the classroom or laboratory.
Determines if students are qualified to meet either initial or recertification of various professional and non-professional certifications and/or licensures.
Provides instruction in both academic and field settings for the following areas and subjects: emergency medical technician basic (EMT-B), tactical combat casualty care (TC3), combat trauma simulation and its application, medical evacuation, force protection, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and high yield Explosives (CBRNE) and limited primary care.
Serves as a medical educator for Military Simulation Training Center, which plans and carries out assignments in accordance with accepted medical practices and established military medical and operational doctrine.
Teaches basic classes, both on-site and on-line, for the company's applications and systems which may include lectures and/or hands-on sessions.
Assists in writing training material from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation to support training. Reviews with senior level trainers and/or engineering, technical support, and/or applicable area to ensure that material is accurate and reflects current product features.
Gathers and summarizes course evaluations to provide data for review by senior level trainers to determine the effectiveness of training.
Assists in the review of external training programs to determine feasibility of purchase.
Gains proficiency in and remains informed of applicable company products.

Additional Job Functions:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering or related field preferred
Two or more years of technical training experience
Experience working with company software, systems, applications and network products
Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations.
Two additional years of related training experience
Must have a minimum of 2 years of instructor experience within the past 5 years, and a minimum of 4 years in the past 8 years as a health care provider.
Must have and maintain a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician- certification.
Must have and maintain either an American Heart Association (AHA) or an American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) Certification, and obtain/ maintain BLS-HCP Instructor certification as required.
Must meet the applicable instructor requirements as directed and provided by AMEDDC&S.
Contract Civilian Instructors are required to be in one of the following categories: current in and maintain National Registry EMT at any level and either a former 68W (BNCOC Graduate) or 18D NCO (BNCOC Graduate); current in and maintain National Registry EMT at any level and a NEC 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman E-6 or above; current in and maintain National Registry EMT at any level and an Air Force 4NOX1, or an Independent Duty Medical Technician (4NOX1) E-6 or above; a Physician, Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant.
Combat experience is preferred, especially in the medical specialties listed above from all service.
Candidate must include Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) National Registry Number within their resume.
