Specific responsibilities include:

  • Perform MS Server/Active Directory Services administration and management to include design, cleanup and routine maintenance and configuration. 
  • Develop, update, document and manage GPOs across complex multiple domain, networked environment 
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Active Directory Domain level upgrades
  • Manage, monitor and respond to alerting for systems and services maintained 
  • Implement patches and upgrades to ensure server and workstation environment in compliance with STIG and Information Assurance regulations.
  • Support implementation of Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Automate system management and monitoring
  • Participate in System Administration On Call rotational support roster
  • Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.
  • Sets up administrator and service accounts.
  • Maintains system documentation.
  • Interacts with users and may evaluate vendor products.
  • Coordinates installation of new hardware & software, and provides backup recovery.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
  • May program in an administrative language.
  • Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results.
  • Provides advice and training to end-users.
  • Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members
  • May serve as a technical team or task leader.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.

  • 6-8 years of directly related experience supporting Active Directory operations and engineering with increasing responsibility

Certifications:  MCSE: Server Infrastructure, MCSA: Windows Server 2012
